Kailash Mansarovar Yatra by
— Helicopter in 10 Days

For millions of Shiva devotees across India, the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra has always existed at the intersection of the deepest longing and the most practical constraint — not of money or faith, but of time. A fortnight away from work, from family, from the responsibilities of life is a privilege that very few can afford consistently. And yet the call of Kailash does not negotiate with calendars.

Why This Yatra

The Kailash Mansarovar Yatra 2026 by Helicopter from Lucknow is Trip To Temples' best-selling package — the one that most pilgrims choose when they want the complete Kailash experience with the most thoughtfully designed itinerary available. At 10 nights and 11 days, this package leaves nothing out. The full 52km Kailash Parikrama is included across 3 days. The Brahma Muhurta holy dip at Lake Mansarovar is timed to Purnima. The complete 105km Mansarovar Parikrama is completed by AC bus. And every pilgrim arrives home with two complimentary hotel nights in Lucknow — a buffer that ensures no pilgrim misses their flight due to weather or helicopter delays on the return. The helicopter route via Nepalgunj and Hilsa is the fastest and most comfortable way to reach Kailash — replacing weeks of overland road travel through Tibet with a scenic 90-minute flight from Nepalgunj to the Tibet border. Your energy, your health, and your spiritual focus are all preserved for what matters most: the darshan, the Parikrama, and the Mansarovar dip. Six distinct Panchang-aligned departure categories are offered — Skand Shashthi, Padmini Ekadashi, Pradosh Vrat, Purnima, Ganesh Chaturthi, and Bhanu Saptami — each timed so that the most auspicious tithi of the Panchang coincides with the most sacred moment of the Yatra. Purnima batches, timed so the full moon rises over Kailash's north face from Dirapuk or Zutulpuk, are the most sought-after and are priced at ₹3,20,000 per person. Standard dates are ₹3,15,000 per person. 2026 is the Year of the Horse in the Tibetan calendar — the most spiritually potent Kailash Yatra cycle in twelve years. One Parikrama in 2026 earns the merit of thirteen in an ordinary year. The last Year of the Horse was 2014. The next will be 2038. Most May and June batches are already full. This is the most important Kailash Yatra year in a decade, and seats are filling faster than any previous season. Book before your preferred date closes.

Tour Highlights

  • The most popular and most trusted Kailash Yatra itinerary operated by Trip To Temples — chosen by more pilgrims than any other TTT offering for its completeness, pacing, and value.
  • : The complete three-day circumambulation — Darchen to Dirapuk, Dirapuk over Dolma La Pass (5,630m) to Zutulpuk, and Zutulpuk back to Darchen. The act at the spiritual core of the entire Yatra.
  • : One complete Parikrama in 2026 is equivalent in merit to thirteen in an ordinary year — the defining spiritual opportunity of this decade and the reason this year's batches are filling faster than ever.
  • Chartered helicopter from Nepalgunj to the Tibet border at Hilsa — the most time-efficient route available, saving days of overland Tibet road travel and delivering you with energy intact for the Parikrama.
  • Lucknow stay included on Day 1 (pre-departure) and Day 11 (return buffer) — ensuring comfortable pre-yatra rest and a guaranteed return buffer if weather causes helicopter delays on the return journey. No other package at this price point provides this.
  • Skand Shashthi, Padmini Ekadashi, Pradosh Vrat, Purnima, Ganesh Chaturthi, and Bhanu Saptami — every departure is timed so the most sacred Panchang tithi aligns with the most sacred moment of the journey inside Tibet.
  • The full moon rising over Kailash's north face from Dirapuk is described by every pilgrim who has seen it as one of the most breathtaking sights of their lives. Purnima-aligned batches are timed specifically for this.
  • A full acclimatisation day at Darchen (4,575m) before the Parikrama begins — critical for safe Dolma La crossing at 5,630m and one of the key health safeguards built into the 11-day itinerary
  • The complete sacred circuit of Lake Mansarovar completed in a comfortable AC Volvo-category bus — accessible to every pilgrim.
  • 15 to 18 Seats: Each helicopter flight carries just 15 to 18 passengers — ensuring manageable group sizes, personalised attention, and flexibility to reschedule in case of weather.
  • 100% pure vegetarian meals with no onion or garlic, prepared by the TTT kitchen crew at every stage — from Nepalgunj hotels to remote Tibetan camps at 4,800+ metres.
  • Chinese Group Visa, Tibet Travel Permit, and Alien Travel Permit for Ngari — 100% approval record across 12+ years.

Before You Book

Important Guidelines

Open to pilgrims between 18 and 70 years of age. The full 52km Kailash Parikrama across 3 days reaches 5,630m — good base fitness is required. Start daily 45-minute walks at least 60 days before departure. Medical fitness certificate from a registered MBBS doctor is mandatory. Pilgrims above 60 or with any health conditions must share their medical report with the TTT team before booking.

The Lucknow hotel nights on Day 1 and Day 11 are included in the package price. Day 1 ensures all pilgrims travel rested and fully briefed. Day 11 is a practical safety net — if helicopter weather delays the return flight from Hilsa to Nepalgunj, no pilgrim misses their onward connection. This buffer is the single most practical feature of this package and one that no other Kailash Yatra operator at this price routinely provides.

Standard departure dates are ₹3,15,000 per person. Purnima dates — where the full moon night at Dirapuk or Zutulpuk is aligned — are ₹3,20,000. The Purnima night at Kailash's north face is indescribable. These are always the first batches to fill.

Each helicopter flight carries only 15 to 18 passengers. This ensures manageable group dynamics, personalised TTT staff attention, and the flexibility to reschedule individual flights if weather affects specific slots.

This package includes the most carefully designed acclimatisation schedule of any TTT Kailash package — 2 nights at Purang (3,700m), 1 night at Mansarovar (4,590m), 2 nights at Darchen (4,575m) before the Parikrama, plus the gradual altitude progression through Dirapuk (4,890m) and Zutulpuk (4,760m). Follow all TTT team guidance on pace, hydration, and AMS reporting.

All documents — passport, photographs, Aadhaar, medical certificate, TTT forms — must be submitted at least 45 to 60 days before departure.

Indian SIMs do not work inside Tibet. Send final messages to family from Nepalgunj. No reliable network at Purang, Mansarovar, Darchen, or the Parikrama route. TTT carries satellite communication for emergencies.

May to September. June is the ideal month — stable weather, clear skies, 15–20°C daytime. Nights drop to -5°C at Mansarovar, Darchen, Dirapuk, and Zutulpuk. Carry full warm gear, windproof and waterproof layers, thermal inner wear, heavy gloves, balaclava, and sleeping bag rated to -10°C.

Cancellation & Refund

  • : Registration deposit non-refundable. Full payment due 45 days before departure. Tibet border closure or permit rejection: full refund or free reschedule. Standard TTT terms apply.
Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the cost of Kailash Mansarovar Yatra from Lucknow by helicopter? +
The Kailash Mansarovar Yatra 2026 by Helicopter from Lucknow is priced at ₹3,15,000 per person (original ₹3,25,000) for standard departure dates, and ₹3,20,000 for Purnima-aligned dates. No-Cost EMI is available from ₹10,463 per month. The price is all-inclusive: chartered helicopter, all three Tibet permits, 2 complimentary Lucknow hotel nights, all accommodation Nepal and Tibet, Sattvic meals, Pandit Ji, Sherpa support, emergency medical kit, Mansarovar Parikrama by AC bus, TTT travel kit, and Yatra Completion Certificate.
Which month is best for Kailash Mansarovar Yatra by helicopter? +
June is the ideal month — stable weather, clear skies over the Tibetan Plateau, temperatures of 15–20°C during the day, and excellent Kailash and Mansarovar visibility. May is also excellent but cold at night. July and August are warmer but see some rainfall in Nepal. September and October offer very clear skies with fewer crowds. In 2026, the Year of the Horse amplifies spiritual merit across all months — but most May and June batches are already full; July onwards has the best seat availability.
What is the benefit of 2 complimentary Lucknow hotel nights? +
The Day 1 Lucknow night ensures all pilgrims travel rested, fully briefed, and with confirmed permits — a significant practical advantage over packages where pilgrims must arrange their own Lucknow stay and arrive independently. The Day 11 return night is a weather buffer — if the helicopter return from Hilsa to Nepalgunj is delayed by weather (which happens regularly), the included Lucknow night means no pilgrim misses their connecting train or flight home. This buffer has saved hundreds of TTT pilgrims from expensive last-minute ticket changes.
What is the difference between the 11-day and the 9-day Kailash Yatra by helicopter? +
Both include the full 52km Kailash Parikrama. The 11-day package has a dedicated acclimatisation day at Darchen before the Parikrama begins — a feature that significantly reduces AMS risk at the Dolma La crossing at 5,630m. It also includes 2 complimentary Lucknow hotel nights and the wider array of Panchang-aligned departure categories. The 9-day package at ₹2,85,000 is ₹30,000 less expensive and is the better-value choice for physically fit pilgrims comfortable with a tighter schedule. The 11-day package is recommended for pilgrims above 50 or those with any altitude sensitivity.
Can a person of 72 years do this Kailash Yatra? +
The age limit for the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra is 70 years. For devotees above 70, the Kailash Mansarovar Aerial Darshan is the recommended alternative — it has no upper age limit, requires only a Voter ID, and delivers the darshan of Kailash and Mansarovar from the sky in 3 days from Lucknow.
What happens if the helicopter is delayed due to weather? +
Weather delays are a reality of mountain helicopter operations. TTT builds a dedicated buffer day at Darchen before the Parikrama and the complimentary Lucknow return night specifically to absorb weather delays at both ends of the Tibet journey. If the helicopter return from Hilsa is delayed by one day, the Lucknow hotel night absorbs it without any additional cost to the pilgrim or impact on their onward travel.
What is the best Kailash Yatra package for senior citizens above 60? +
The 11-day Helicopter Yatra from Lucknow is the recommended option for pilgrims above 60 — the dedicated acclimatisation day at Darchen, the two Lucknow buffer nights, and the Sherpa support throughout make it the most carefully managed route. Horses are available at Darchen for portions of the Parikrama at extra cost. For pilgrims above 70, the Kailash Mansarovar Aerial Darshan (3 days, no age limit) is the appropriate route.
